Ajmer Dargah Sharif

The Ajmer Dargah, a Sufi shrine that is one of Ajmer's most popular tourist attractions, is thought to be one of Rajasthan's holiest locations. Due to his secular preachings, Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz Moinuddin Chishti, a Persian Sufi saint, is revered here. A notable position is held by Khwaja Garib Nawazamong the world's spiritual healers.
Every year on the anniversary of the Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz passing, thousands of pilgrims visit the grave in Ajmer also known as Ajmer Sharif Dargah. People of all faiths, castes, and creeds gather here to ask for the blessings of this Sufi saint by making a customary "chadar." Nothing compares to the "qawwali" at Khwaja Garib Nawaz Dargah, which has a mystical quality that almost never leaves an audience member unmoved. The shrine is referred to as Gharib Nawaz, the benefactor of the poor, because of its philanthropic activity.
